The Kusu are one of a number of tribes in the Kasai (a tributary of the Congo river in the south east of the country) region that used "Boloko" as a form of currency. Consisting of copper poles, about 10-15 thick, hammered into a u-shape, the "Boloko" money was used especially for the payment of bride price. |
