Maximum publicity

By means of our bilingual descriptions of the piece (see "selling your art”) you will have immediate access to a worldwide market of African art lovers.

First steps:

Simply send us an e-mail including a short description of the piece (no more than 75 words) plus information regarding country, ethnic group, the artist if known, material, size, weight (important for calculating the postage) and if possible age and provenance. In addition we require at least one photo so that we can get an initial impression of the piece.

It would also be helpful if you could decide which eBay services you require.

Starting a collection
Good pieces of African Art don’t have to be expensive. For those just beginning to collect African art, our regular auctions can be a wonderful starting point for building up your collection. Many of our pieces are offered with a starting price of €1 so you have every chance of finding a bargain.

Top quality pieces
Not just beginners will find something of interest at a shikra auction. We regularly offer top quality pieces that serious collectors will also take pleasure in discovering.

 

 

Full service:

Description of the item, professional photography, plus high quality translations (no computer translations) are all services that are offered by shikra with only a minimal increase in price.

Commission *

20% when photograph/s plus German and English text are supplied in an acceptable quality by the seller
21% when quality photograph/s and only one of the two languages are provided
22% when text is supplied in two languages but no quality photographs are provided
23% when quality photograph/s are supplied but German and English text are missing
25% when neither quality photograph/s nor German and English text are provided by seller

As an alternative to our auctions we could sell your piece by means of our online catalogue. (see "selling your art”) .

Your advantage:

No commission will be charged until the piece is sold!

eBay commission will be charged additionally in accordance with eBay rules and regulations and depending on which eBay service you select for promoting your piece.
