Wood, glossy brown patina.
An attractive head-rest decorated with bands of leather and green, red, white and blue glass-beads.
The headrests act as a kind of pillow; additionally they protect the elaborate African hair-dos while identifying the owner with a particular clan or tribe.
Due to their wider shape, they could have also been used a stool.
