Old, brass cross (Amharic) from Ethiopia.
"Kernebge"-Typus, Gondar
The Christian Ethiopians have been wearing crosses for over 1,600 years as a sign of their faith.
They are named mostly after towns or provinces of the highlands - are either cast in lost form or cut directly from Maria Theresia talers.
