Description
An impressive work from Tibetan craftsmen: a human skull decorated for ritual use.

Such skulls were used in both Hindu Tantra and Buddhist Tantra (Vajrayana) rituals to hold ceremonial liquids.
The top of the skull has a hinge but this no longer functions. The inside of the skull is decorated with silver. The surface is adorned with an incised design; an attachment is fixed in the middle, the rim is decorated with reproductions of small skulls that are also made of silver.
These can also be found at the upper rim as well as at the back of the skull. All the features as well as the ears are made of silver. From the cheeks to the back the skull is the figure of a dragon.

Very fine and precise work!
