Description
Gold dust spoons made of hammered metal.
Such spoons were used by the Akan people in Ghana and other parts of West-Africa. They were used to weigh gold dust which was used for daily transactions before coins and money replaced them.

*Johannes Kaddatz was a close friend of Werner Fischer, Hans Himmelheber, Boris Kegel-Konietzko, Bernd Muhlack and Nils von der Heyde, among others, and spent many years in East and West Africa.
