Description
A beautiful old Kulango pendant.

Such figures represent nature spirits who live in the bush and water. The Kulango call them "korabohula" or "pinu" which means both "God" and "amulet". Their purpose is to protect people.

* Wilfried Glar has been collecting West African small bronzes since the early 1980s and has held tens of thousands in his hands over the years. He is in contact with important collectors such as Max Itzikovitz, Paris, Pierluigi Peroni, Milano and many others. He has published several books on West African bracelets and small bronzes from the voltaic area and is considered a recognized expert in these areas of collection.
