Slight oval shape, open bracelet made of aluminium, fine incised design. Matt, slightly shining patina. Used for trading, and on occasion in exchange for slaves.
Aluminium manillas are rare as the majority of these objects were made of a copper alloy.

Manillas circulated in West Africa from the ending of the 15th century until 1948.
